Hanna-Liis Lao

Hanna-Liis Lao’s profound mission is to help women feel safe in their bodies, in their lives and in their relationships so that they can live authentic, sustainable and self-sufficient lives.

Under her guidance, thousands of women have learned how to regulate their nervous systems through presence and body awareness practices to be kinder to themselves, feel safe in their bodies again, shine through suffering, stay centered in the midst of chaos, make self-care choices, and move from survival to a sense of aliveness.

Hanna-Liis has a background as a dancer, musician and teacher. In 2016-2020 she completed the life-changing Alexander Technique Teacher Training in Estonia and London, and today she has international teaching and training experience in universities, companies, individual training programmes and individual work.

The impulse to study Alexander Technique 10 years ago came partly from a practical need to help herself with anxiety, body aches, chronic pain and fatigue, and a constant emotional ride in the American mountains, but also from a great curiosity about what could be possible when you learn to manage yourself better.

Hanna-Liisi’s most inspiring thought lately is: ‘Sometimes the responsibility for changing something falls on you not because you are to blame, but simply because you are the only one who can change it.’- Dr Lisa Feldman, Professor of Psychology.
